These past few years have been a real roller coaster for Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel fans. We’ve seen acquisitions, switches in publishers, and real nail biting moments in film. For the most part, these switches have been pleasantly impressive, but there are still moments. Did Dark Horse Comics make one when they made the announcement earlier this year about Frozen? Personally, I think not. Scheduled for an August release, this new Comic would be the first in a three-part miniseries that would follow Arendelle’s favorite sister team duo in saving their Kingdom.
“Disney Frozen #1 finds Queen Elsa and Princess Anna trying to get to the bottom of things when the peace of their beloved kingdom is disrupted. There's a wild animal loose in the village, destruction in the forest, and unrest brewing in a nearby kingdom. Luckily, Elsa and Anna will have the help of Olaf, Kristoff . . . and a mysterious, adventurous young woman to restore peace in their kingdom.”

Although Disney has had many comic book releases since their early comic strip days of Mickey Mouse, seeing that the Box Office Monster Frozen will hit the stands this Summer, it’s hard to say whether this Frozen frenzy will have an ending any time soon. Frozen 2 is slated for a November 2019 release, and the Comics should help to keep fanning the flames of this icy fandom. Might we be seeing more Disney Princess crossovers into comics? It shouldn’t be too much of a stretch given IDW’s release of Tangled back in 2017. What titles, or continuing stories, from Disney would you like to see in comics? Let us know in the comments below.
